Job Description – MPGS Global Product Partnerships, Manager

Job Description Summary

The Payment Gateway team is responsible for the Mastercard Payment Gateway Product. This product is an essential part of Mastercard’s acceptance strategy and supports:

• Acceleration of Mastercard's digital payments agenda and the enablement of new flows using our ecommerce focused technology

• Expanding Mastercard’s reach by providing direct relationships to merchants while deepening relationships with acquirers across sectors and geographies

• Driving enablement of Mastercard solutions across our merchant and acquirer partners that facilitate seamless user experiences

• Solving acceptance needs through enabling and/or distributing products and solutions more quickly into the ecosystem on behalf of the Acceptance, Core, Digital, New Payment Flows, Corporate/B2B, D&S, C&IS and partner businesses

To achieve this the MPGS Product team is building out product functionality direct on the Gateway but increasingly also working with partners to cover different parts of the value proposition ranging from key providers of card present functionality across a region to adding specific local functionality required such as domestic payment types. For this a specific team is being established which this role supports. This team will be responsible for the external partnerships to complement the MPGS organic product capabilities and deliver a richer value proposition for customers.

Role

• Key member of the Partnerships team responsible for MPGS partnership framework, incl. partner intake process, onboarding, performance reporting and governance

• Collaborate with internal partners such as Legal, Compliance, Finance, Sourcing and O&T to drive process efficiencies for MPGS & wider Mastercard

• Build and maintain relationships with the MPGS Product Value Proposition and Regional Product teams to understand new partnerships pipeline and drive quicker time to market

• Own framework strategy, process collateral, process execution and process efficiency/best practice

• Drive partnership governance including developing models for different partnership types

• Overview of the Studio process to ensure complete for all solutions involving partners

• Responsible for end-to-end management of one or more partner relationships to understand impact of framework

• Collaborate with internal partners to ensure alignment of partnership roadmaps

All About You

• Experience in working effectively with global, cross-functional teams

• Experience with payments products, financial services platforms, and/or product development

• Technical background with understanding of payment platforms an advantage

• Experience building project plans and workflow processes end-to-end using Microsoft Project and Visio and developing recommendations to optimize the processes

• Understanding of Partner integration and business plan management desirable.

• Experience in working in an Agile development environment, SAFe expertise as a plus

• Self-starter and delivery focused, actively collaborative, able and willing to share best practice

• Stakeholder manager with the ability to build relationships internally & externally
