Director, Product Management & Commercialisation

Director, Product Management & Commercialisation – Credential on File


• The role is part of the Global Online Acceptance Team setting product go-to-market strategy for Mastercard’s Merchant Credential on File offerings – MDES for Merchants as well as Secure Remote Commerce (SRC) services for merchants and commerce platforms.

• Alongside scaling a MDES for Merchants, this role will be responsible for commercializing and scaling new SRC services that expand Mastercard’s Credential on File solutions.

• Our Credential on File solutions include suites of API’s that allow e-commerce businesses to exchange their stored card information for network tokens which offer better security and higher authorization rates when used for payments. More than 50 customers are live globally on M4M today including Amazon, Netflix, PayPal, Adyen, and many more.

• This role will be focused on driving the overall strategy to scale this card on file product suite with e-commerce players across the globe with the ultimate goal of tokenizing every single Mastercard e-commerce transaction.

• This role will require close alignment with cross functional teams within Mastercard including data & analytics, marketing, regional stakeholders, and customer facing teams in order to track overall progress and monitor key performance metrics across the product.

• Monitors product performance metrics and makes recommendations for enhancing performance, working with regional teams to execute

• Working closely with market and regional teams, synthesize customer learnings and pain points to introduce new product enhancements that can improve the overall product value proposition and experience for customers.

• Analyses market trends, dynamics and competition to inform product and go to market strategies

• Perform market analysis to understand customer segments and new opportunities for growth of the product across new geographies

• Acts as a product subject matter expert and provides support to internal and external customers with communication and training on product functionality and enhancements

• Engages in idea generation for enhancements to existing products, concept validation, business case development, and in some instances financial modeling and planning of these enhancements

• Develops planning and reporting tools that support the product roadmap including but not limited to sizing opportunities for market expansion and value-added services

• Identifies potential challenges to reaching product performance goals and propose solutions to overcome these roadblocks.

All About You

• Product management or product marketing experience with excellent business acumen, strategic thinking, people management and relationship building skills

• Experience developing data driven strategies and recommendations that were adopted by senior leadership

• Experience working on product launches in multiple markets

• Able to understand complex technical concepts, business needs, competitive offering and industry trends and apply them to real-world problems to deliver solutions

• Excellent verbal communication, comfortable presenting, influencing and negotiating, able to shift gears for audiences from different business disciplines of varying technical ability

• Self-starter with a strong work ethic and highly organized, holding self and others to high standards, able to work autonomously and as part of a team, fostering a positive team culture

• Open and creative; comfortable with uncertainty in a changing/fast paced environment

• Knowledge and experience with merchants, payment gateways, commerce platforms, mobile, EMV, working across multiple geographies is advantageous.
