Overview

The Data & Services team is a key differentiator for Mastercard, providing the cutting-edge services that help our customers grow. Focused on thinking big and scaling fast around the globe, this agile team is responsible for end-to-end solutions for a diverse global customer base. Centered on data-driven technologies and innovation, these services include consulting, loyalty and marketing programs, test-and-learn business experimentation, and data-driven information and risk management services. While specializing in the payments industry working with various financial institutions, Mastercard Data & Services also works closely with major retailers, airlines, telecommunication companies and other enterprises, leveraging data and insights garnered from within and beyond its network.

Within the Data & Services organization, the Delivery organization is responsible for delivering our various products and solutions to clients. Data & Services Delivery is charged with combining professional problem-solving skills with deep segment and functional expertise to address the challenges and opportunities of its clients, enhance Mastercard's strategic and tactical performance and establish Mastercard's global thought-leadership preeminence.

Role

The Managing Consultant will be part of the Delivery organization, being responsible to deliver top quality projects with our various products & solutions to clients

• Project delivery & management

o Logically identify issues covering client problems in the projects managed

o Generate key hypotheses and structure work at the project level

o Synthesize analyses into clear, sound recommendations at the project level

o Identify creative and useful additional analyses required and suggest new paradigms for recommendations

o Create impactful storylines and presentation materials at the project level

o Engage audience while presenting recommendations persuasively

o Function as a project manager leading a team of consultants effectively

• Client management

o Assess client agenda, internal culture and change readiness

o Develop effective working relationships with mid- to senior-level client

o Obtain respect from client as a trusted advisor and expert in the payment industry

• Sales contribution

o Identify client challenges and develop ideas on leveraging Mastercard’s capabilities surfacing these to sales team

o Support sales team on follow on projects

• Team contribution

o Participate in recruiting, training, and developing team members

o Demonstrate agility with a sense of urgency

o Become a role model to team members for high performance culture

o Proactively share best practices from projects demonstrating ability to be point of contact in certain areas

All About You

Education Needed:

• Undergraduate degree required

• MBA or relevant degree recommended

Experience and Skills Needed:

• Significant experience in a management consulting organization

• Experience in payments and/or retail banking or merchants preferred

• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Excellent interpersonal skills with high EQ

• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

Languages:

• English language required

• Additional languages desired
