Senior Engineeer, Systems Support

Regional Technical Support Engineer

Major Responsibilities

Intakes and documents escalated internal customer issues, concerns and requests for enhancements, simulates internal customer issues and participates in problem resolution

May manage medium-sized project / initiatives as an individual contributor with advanced knowledge within discipline, leading a segment of several initiatives or a larger initiative

Oversees the installation and support of network communications

Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of situation requires evaluation and judgement

Assists in the planning of large scale systems projects and performs complex vendor comparison and cost studies

May formally supervise a small team (e.g., 1-3 people) and assigns day-to-day work

Implements and maintains technology standards within a single domain

Supports a breadth of systems at local site, acting as onsite resource for multiple other teams, reporting back to these teams

IT Specific Experiences

Experience using Mastercard tools to solution and resolve moderately complex inernal customer issues

Experience developing and delivering internal customer training and education for operational support

Delegates tasks to junior colleagues and reviews work as appropriate

Broadening Experiences

Has experience dealing with difficult internal customers

Experience working in cross-functional & large projects

Experience with breadth of business technical areas, including legal/compliance and with IT, including operations, networks and security
