We're looking for talented Principal Software Development Engineer to join our engineering team to help lead, design modernize Payment Networks using advanced technologies and applications that are revolutionizing payments.

Responsibilities:

· Delivering innovative end-to-end architectural solutions -- from the conceptual to the application level for new initiatives

. Work with business/product owners to architect and deliver on new services and capabilities

.Drive the architectural design, including dependent services, service interactions, and policies

• Contribute and lead Guild initiatives by engaging and mentoring Engineers at all levels to improve the craftmanship of Software Engineering

• Simplify and improve the cost/benefit of a function/service/architecture strategy

• Apply judgment and experience to balance trade-offs between competing interests

· Partnering with business and other technology teams to set technical strategy, roadmaps and direction

· Providing direction to project technical leads and reviewing designs

· Estimating and planning new efforts

.Drive PoCs (Proof of Concept) and help the Department with selection of right solution for the given business or platform requirement.

About You:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent work experience.

  • Expert foundation in algorithms, data structures and core computer science concepts – able to teach/mentor others in their learning.

  • Development experience in Java, GO, Rust or similar languages

  • Development experience in UNIX scripting, Oracle, SQL , PL/SQL.

  • Extensive experience with event based architecture, inter process communications and web services

  • Experience with Agile development methodologies such as SAFE, SCRUM, Extreme Programming, TDD etc.

  • Experience working with a source versioning tool, such as Git.

  • Strong analytical and excellent problem-solving skills.

  • Experience working in an Agile environment.

  • Expert in TDD and BDD in the software development processes.

  • Mentor and teacher of new technologies and design patterns.

  • Ability to work with little or no supervision.

  • Ability to quickly learn new technologies, development tools, and frameworks.

  • Working experience in a cloud native environment like K8s, Azure, AWS is a plus.

COVID-19 Considerations
