Job Title

Lead Product Owner

Mastercard is creating a world class secure software development capability and we are looking for an agile team player to own and drive the delivery of repeatable processes and tools that support secure software development processes. This role will be part of the Business Security Enablement team and will report to the VP of Information Security Engineering.

Can you advise development teams on how to securely design applications and services following industry best practices and enhance existing approaches to security engineering?

Can you analyze an application architecture to reduce the security risk to an acceptable level, while still providing beneficial functionality for the end user?

Can you demonstrate a high level of expertise in the software development, architecture and engineering disciplines?

Can you operate independently with minimum supervision

Role

Bridge the gap between security teams to ensure that secure development practices are adopted within the security organization.

Develop and deliver threat modeling, security designs, threat intel, application risk profiling capabilities within security teams.

Partner closely with security engineers, security architects, vunerability managament and security operations to build and integrate security capabilities into the development lifecycle

Define, create and report on KPI’s to measure effectiveness and maturity of Secure software development adoption at various levels within Mastercard

Work closely with security engineers, Security Architects, Vunerability Managament areas to ensure proper security considerations are addressed during the design & build, testing and operational phases of the software development life cycle (SDLC)

All About You

Experience managing the development and or delivery of capabilities and functions within an organization

Demonstrate the ability to articulate and communicate effectively to diverse audiences and properly translates security and risk management terminology into business terms, and recommends alternative solutions to these stakeholders

Well versed in application secure design principles, OWASP top 10, and secure coding techniques

Experience with SCA, SAST, DAST and/or IAST tooling and how to integrate capabilities is to software deliver pipeline a plus

Experience of continuous delivery/continuous integration (CI/CD) processes and procedures including critical security considerations in automated workflows a plus

Previous software engineering experience with Java or similar enterprise programming language, especially related to secure coding best practices

Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills

Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
