Job Title

Senior Commercial Product Manager - Core Data

We are looking for a Product Manager to drive the development of our Open Banking Data solutions, which play a key role in Mastercard’s global Open Banking strategy.

The product portfolio includes a set of turn-key solutions built by the Core Data squad, that take the burden of handling account information data management from customers that want to spend their efforts building great products that leverage the full potential of the open banking standard.

The team works at the bleeding edge of the Account Information Service technologies, often solving problems that are yet to be tackled within the industry in areas of data storage, accessibility, processing, and analysis. You will be joining a group of highly skilled individuals working together as a team to push the limits of what is possible to achieve with open banking.

The ideal candidate is passionate about both understanding the customer, the business, and the market while working with a multitude of stakeholders to get working solutions out to our clients.

Overview:

We develop our products based on business needs, market opportunities and technology trends.

At the intersection of the Product and Engineering teams, you will drive the vision for future development, investigate and qualify options, and ensure that all stakeholders know of and contribute to the success of your products.

You recognize that solutions without distribution are nothing - and therefore your finest job is to be the enabler who makes sure your products succeed in a broad sense.

You’ll work with a multitude of stakeholders ranging from other business units within Mastercard to sales and marketing and the Core Data Engineering team.

To support the daily work with the engineering team, there’s a Technical Product Manager, who acts in the role of a product owner and takes responsibility for the deliverables.

Role Responsibilities:

• Be the enabler of the success of your products, effectively getting other teams to contribute to the overall success of the products

• Act as a business owner and manage long-term and short-term strategic initiatives for commercial products

• Engage in client dialogues to learn about customer needs, insights and potential areas of further cooperation

• Owning the epics and high level acceptance criteria for specific deliverables

• Continuously monitor the health and performance of your products throughout their entire product life cycle

• Take a data-driven approach to product enhancements, identifying opportunity areas and contributing to the product roadmap, prioritising work to deliver against key areas of focus

• Lead by example with hands on approaches to demonstrate product management excellence and share best practices throughout the organisation

All About You

• You have a senior commercial profile within Product Management

• Experience in executing product strategy with a commercial focus

• A driver of initiatives and a relentless communicator with a sound business acumen

• You’ve successfully rolled out products and solutions in multiple markets in the past

• Experience with agile methodologies

• Excellent English skills, verbally as in writing

Desirable:

• Understanding the Financial Services Industry, payment infrastructure and the payment ecosystem is a bonus, but not essential

• Experience with SaaS and distributed systems in an enterprise environment is desirable

As we work in an international environment, Danish is not a prerequisite for this position.

We value teamwork, and therefore it is key for us to be able to meet regularly.

We offer flexible remote options, and most of our team members are in the office 2-3 days a week.

COVID-19 Considerations

We value the safety of each member of our community because we know we’re all in this together. In many locations, which may change over time, we’ve implemented a virtual hiring process and continue to interview candidates by video or phone. In addition, in some locations, only individuals who have been fully vaccinated will be permitted inside Mastercard offices until further notice.

In the US, Mastercard is a government contractor, which may legally require most Mastercard employees to be vaccinated unless a verified approved medical or religious exemption is granted. Further, we are currently making every effort towards having employees return to work in the office 2 days per week, if that makes sense for their team. Everyone must be vaccinated to enter Mastercard offices at this time. Therefore, we expect all candidates to be vaccinated or to be approved for a medical or religious accommodation prior to commencing work at Mastercard.

Corporate Security Responsibility

All activities involving access to Mastercard assets, information, and networks comes with an inherent risk to the organization and, therefore, it is expected that every person working for, or on behalf of, Mastercard is responsible for information security and must:

  • Abide by Mastercard’s security policies and practices;

  • Ensure the confidentiality and integrity of the information being accessed;

  • Report any suspected information security violation or breach, and

  • Complete all periodic mandatory security trainings in accordance with Mastercard’s guidelines.
