Product Owner

Overview

This position is part of Product Development within Payments International. Product Development is developing next generation payment solutions within Instant, bulk payments, and proxy services in an agile development setup.

As a part of our team - the position is responsible for a range of supporting services to Instant Payments such as:

• Instant payment flows based on ISO20022

• Liquidity & Settlement

• Bulk Payments

• Third Party payment access (mobile payments),

• UI & Portal

• Simulators

• Reporting and DW

The applicant is expected to specialise in one or more of the areas dependent on qualifications and client demand.

Role

• Own parts of the backlog – and drives all needed Product owner activities (grooming, demo, planning and retrospective etc)

• Ensuring that the backlog is refined and ready for development

• Drive a development team

• Support and give input to Roadmap visions for future development

• Perform demos and act as a Subject Matter Expert towards customers

• Become Subject Matter Expert on one of the above topics by reading relevant literature such as rulebooks and day to day literature

• Support Chief Business Architect with solution designs

• With the team deliver estimates on future deliveries and follow up on approved budget

• Approve functional testing and releases of new features with relevant stakeholder

• Become SME for specify areas of our business

• Contribute to creating our next generation of product documentation

• Travel to meet and clarify customer specific business requirements

All About You

Essential:

• Experience as product owner

• Experience as business analyst

• Stakeholder management skills

• Can do presentations towards customers and (in time) act as Subject Matter Expert.

• Can turn business requirements into epics/features and user stories.

• Agile methods and the role as product owner (e.g., experience as Scrum Product Owner)

• Team player

Desirable

• Experience from Payments industry

• Experience with development of transaction-based systems within the financial sector

• Experience with handling releases

• A general understanding of high-performance IT systems, security models and user authentication models
