Director of Security Monitoring & Response (BCP)
This role reports to the Resilience Planning Director as a member of Mastercard’s Corporate Security Enterprise Resilience Team.
Primarily responsible for driving and implementing Business Continuity Program (includes full life cycle for Crisis Management and Business Continuity, minimal Technical Recovery activities) for a critical Mastercard solutions and associated offices. This ‘hands on’ execution role is expected to work independently, implementing policy and procedures from global Enterprise Resilience.
Implement Enterprise Resilience program structure to appropriate level for ensuring certification to ISO27001 standard
Quickly understand and partner with services team members to implement program and support regulatory compliance for all jurisdictions in which this business entity operates
Perform business impact analysis and risk assessment coordination, business continuity planning and exercises while applying detailed quality assurance and support for your business partners
Ensuring business continuity levels and capabilities of third parties are compliant with risk management mandates
Perform as a Crisis Management subject matter expert to set-up this entity with the proper construct and response model including plans and exercises with strategic partners
Train business partners on the program’s roles and responsibilities, and ensure all staff within the entity are knowledgeable of our requirements
Partner with global Enterprise Resilience staff to understand location-specific crisis management and business continuity recovery procedures and standardization
Build key business relationships within the entity and become a trusted partner to further embed a business continuity culture
Provides consultation to management and Identify opportunities to implement process improvements
Experience & Qualifications:
Knowledge and experience of ISO27001 certification maintenance and/or implementation, and application of or knowledge of ISO22301
Demonstrable experience of working within regulated environments required; regulator liaison experience advantageous
Strong experience in business impact analysis, resilience risk assessment and business continuity plan design required
Experience in designing, facilitating and reporting on complex, scenario-based crisis management exercises and situations
Knowledge of executing or understanding technology recovery exercise; technology background advantageous
Demonstrable experience managing business continuity third party risk process
Experience with data incident preparedness and response, including cyber security experience or accreditation advantageous
Financial services experience advantageous
Bachelor’s degree preferably related to Emergency Management, Information Technology, Business, Engineering or equivalent combination of experience and formal education
Excellent written and spoken English language communication skills are a core requirement
Preferred CBCI (Business Continuity Institute) or CBCP (DRI) accreditation or similar; more advanced accreditation advantageous
Experience in the design and delivery or management information metrics advantageous
