Manager, Digital Media & Performance Lead

Overview

As Marketing Services (MS), the marketing strategy & execution arm of Mastercard, we aim to focus on differentiated scalable and digital offerings that leverages our unique data and marketing technology to accelerate campaign performance and associated outcomes. Our vision is to become the partner of choice for Issuers and Merchants leveraging our digital data-driven digital acquisition performance products to drive our client’s most profitable customer engagements and ultimately Mastercard preference with consumers.

Through the transformation of the youngest and fastest growing MS region, EEMEA is seeking an experienced Media, Tech & Performance. The candidates’ superior understanding of the dynamics behind successful performance across the entire digital marketing and sales funnel, fueled by data insights and optimization strategies/tactics to deliver positive ROI for clients and create their reliance on MS.

Role & Responsibilities

Support the development of new and existing MS Acquisition products and capabilities across the Digital Marketing and Sales funnel, focusing on driving exponential growth across all key metrics and KPIs.

Support the creation of frameworks and processes that build industry-leading creative

Support the development of the creative strategy capability in collaboration with creative production, creative strategy, and creative marketing partners

Collaborate with and support the Acquisition Product Owner to manage the MS Acquisition Product portfolio ensuring relevancy, quality and effectiveness of MS Acquisition products.

Represent MS across the EEMEA region, to identify opportunities to support clients with MS products and then to articulately present and support with pitching to both internal and external stakeholders

Ability to identify opportunities derived from external (Google analytics, Meta, Kochava, Appsflyer etc) data sources to create new or enhanced acquisition products

Identifying strategic and tactical products and capabilities that can support our ability to maximise financially sustainable growth across the MS Acquisition Product portfolio

Review, analyze and present clear and strategic recommendations to deliver result-driven marketing solutions that span across different functions and disciplines. He/she should be able to leverage media insights and trends as well as consumer insights to design effective results-driven marketing and communication strategies

Work within a cross-functional team to execute on that product vision by building new capabilities for the business

Collaborate closely with internal Mastercard teams to improve the quality of existing MS products

Initiate ideas and implement marketing initiatives with external agencies, FIs and/or partners to design and execute identified initiatives and programs

Experienced in end to end new product launches as new cards for issuers or retailers, new loyalty programs and/or card conversions, ability to analyze existing processes, strategize, plan, execute to go to market and post launch management

Supporting the broader MS team to ensure that MS ambitious KPIs are met or exceeded including: Regional digital P&L, Scalability (number of scalable projects regionally) and contribution to regional MS goals

Firm grasp of AdTech, MarTech, Mobile and Performance Marketing landscape with ability to identify the right partners via requirements and specs.

Well-versed in end-to-end digital marketing which includes analytical review of media strategies and plans, trouble shoot and work with partners to propose successful results-driven digital marketing strategies.

Passion for data, analytics and insights to inform, measure and continuously improve.

Demonstrated ability to drive change and transformation with a positive ROI.

Digital and social media knowledge with hands on experience executing major campaigns end-to-end. These should include: acquisition, contactless, spend, loyalty and brand initiatives.

Strong interpersonal communication and presentation skills with stakeholders of different seniority.

Understands the digital marketing and sales journey and can quickly identify the key levers that drive impactful results.

Creative and curious about the new digital solutions that are practically applied. Takes a team approach to integrating assets and functionalities in new and unique ways.

Demonstrates the ability to develop “out of the box” solutions and to create support for initiatives across organization and geographies.

Acts as a thought leader for creative/disruptive improvements and thoughtfully balances risk when committing significant investments in leading change.

Encourages a culture that looks to new technology to establish a competitive advantage. Acts with a sense of urgency.

Ability to adapt and is able to perform efficiently against tight timelines and is equally efficient in ambiguous situations and projects.

High business acumen with the ability to engage with clients at senior level.

Strategic thinking with the ability to identify potential risks/opportunities.

Qualifications

8+ years business experience, particularly in performance marketing and digital acquisition

Experience in marketing project management beneficial

Must be familiar with design thinking, agile methodology and martech landscape

Financial services industry experience preferred
