Job Title

Project Manager II

SessionM is seeking a Senior Manager, Project Management with a proven track record in managing the implementation of complex projects. This individual will lead the project management team and work closely with the Head of Delivery & Support, the Sales & Customer Success team, Engineering and Product to ensure that deliverables across the entire project are meeting the client’s schedule and expectations

Responsibilities:

-Initiating, scheduling, forecasting, coordinating, managing and delivering all activities related to client projects

-Supporting pre-sales initiatives as needed, ie. Providing estimated timelines and work breakdowns

-Ensuring that project managers follow established standards and best practices

-Creating and maintaining project schedules, working closely with client project sponsors and external partners to ensure project plans are integrated and key dependencies are identified

-Managing overall work breakdown and resource assignment

-Coordinating inter-project and inter-team dependencies and risks and leading risk management

-Demonstrating leadership by working with the Client, Integration Engineers and Product Managers to prioritize and refine User Stories, assist with client -integration efforts, and help secure resources

-Driving and holding teams accountable for change management

-Managing projects to the budget and timelines defined

-Developing & presenting executive level status and risk reporting

-Facilitating project post-mortems with all key partners and identify key areas for process improvements

-Managing a team of Project Managers

-Providing guidance and professional development to your team, and reviewing performance regularly

-Some travel required

Qualifications:

-Extensive experience managing global project teams, on large enterprise integration projects

-Degree in technology, business or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.

-Significant knowledge of platform and SaaS system implementations; marketing technology experience preferred

-Strong understanding and involvement in the SDLC process

-Exceptional project management skills with ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects in cross-functional environment.

-Ability to communicate needs and schedules to business stakeholders and technology teams, as well as ensure plans are in place/standards are adhered to

-Position will require a level of confidence to hold the line with either clients or with internal teams to provide the highest level of advocacy for the project.

-Excellent communications skills, attention to details and confidence to take 'command and control' of project delivery from initiation to production

-Strong interpersonal and proactive problem-solving skills

-Thrives in complex, fast-paced environment

-Excellent presentation, written and verbal skills

-Ability to prioritize and make tough decisions
