Director, Area Marketing
Demonstrate strategic ability to define local Marketing strategies thru direct contributors, including advertising, promotions, sponsorships, market research, etc., to align with business priorities and deliver against company objectives
Integrates multiple business factors (long-term and short-term impacts and consequences) to develop differentiating strategies which grow and enhance the business.
Leads projects on behalf of several countries, including own country, balancing needs of stakeholders and managing multiple work streams
Develops metrics and specifications to track program performance, measures program performance, and makes recommendations based on results
Translates high-level direction into desired specifications for MasterCard marketing staff or agency staff for production/delivery of promotional marketing materials, including print, electronic, direct mail and call center promotions
Oversees parts of the local Marketing budget to ensure that all campaigns, programs, and activities are within allocated budget
Serves as a role model for developing talent by being personally involved in planning for organizational talent needs and by supporting the development of employees and peers.
Leads a group/team, effectively delivers guidance and ensures compliance to goal setting and performance appraisal processes, identifies and coaches top talent within own team.
Demonstrated success in building integrated marketing plans that leveraged synergies between marketing channels
Demonstrated ability in establishing collaborative relationships with global Marketing counterparts and representing the voice of the local market
Extensive experience and demonstrated success in one marketing family, with additional experience in two to three marketing families, including B2B or Consumer Marketing
Experience working in multiple areas of the Marketing function
Experience in supervising, coaching, and motivating marketing teams
Led complex cross-functional projects locally
Demonstrated success in delivering results on multiple projects, setting priorities and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Demonstrated ability to build relationships with external stakeholders at the local level
