Business Leader, Business Development
China market is one of the Greater China Division with three offices Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou. It is an emerging market with great opportunities.
This role is part of team for MasterCard China that focuses on
odeveloping, implementing and tracking China country strategy and strategic initiatives
oestablishing relevant set up (infrastructure, entity and organization) in-country for China Domestic Accession
The candidate is expected to have sound strategic consulting and project management experience with strong analytical and communication / engagement skills
The candidate is expected to have capability and maturity / flexibility to take on team leadership and membership roles in different projects and to interact and engage with colleagues across different organizational levels and geographies (local, regional and global)

Support development and implementation of MC China country strategy in coordination with local, regional and global teams across different functions (e.g. product, business development, acceptance, marketing, finance etc)
Conduct periodic strategic planning, review and tracking of key strategic initiatives for MC China
Lead program management office (planning, development, issue resolution and tracking) of various initiatives within China Domestic Accession
Directly lead/project-manage selected individual programs (e.g. organization transition planning, business plan development for processing services etc.) within China Domestic Accession initiative; working with GHQ, RHQ and in country teams and external agencies
Undertake other strategic projects within China (e.g. , evaluation of JV partnerships, launch of new products or pursuit of new clients)
All About You
Thorough knowledge of card and payments industry, with ideally prior knowledge of transaction processing services
Thorough knowledge of the regulatory and legal environment of the market
Thorough understanding of MC products and solutions
Ability to demonstrate the MCs value proposition to customers and external parties
Sound overall program management and individual project management skills
