Senior Software Engineer, D&S Technology Foundations - CI
Overview
The Technology Foundations program within Mastercard's Data & Services organization aims to provide common, high-performance, and easy-to-use infrastructure solutions for cross-cutting concerns. We work closely with market-facing product engineering teams to help them develop, secure, test and deploy their solutions.
We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our Continuous Integration team that is excited to design and implement fast, robust and secure systems and tooling that build, scan and test our applications as well as create a great development experience for other engineers through libraries, APIs and common tools. As a member of our team, you would apply your skills to provide reusable solutions for all development teams.

Position Responsibilities
As a member of the Continuous Integration team, you will:
- Set the vision for modernizing our Continuous Integration stack to focus on
Docker container image building and utilizing Kubernetes as our orchestration
tool
- Design, build and manage large projects that enable teams to deliver the
technology and platform that powers a global enterprise application
- Learn, innovate and apply a diverse set of languages, frameworks and industry
standard DevOps tools
Continuously improve our software engineering practices
Collaborate across teams with exceptional peers who are passionate about
what they do
Mentor and provide guidance to other team members
Choose between a team leadership or technical leadership career path
About You
- Experience building and administering systems using industry standard
tooling like Jenkins, Kubernetes, Docker
Experience with infrastructure as code and deployment automation
Experience designing and implementing software in C#, Go, Java or other
similar languages
History of team and/or technical project leadership
Superior academic record with a degree in Computer Science or related
technical field
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills
Had you been with us last month, you would have
- Integrated a a brand new SAST tool offering to our CI pipeline for over 150
applications that focused on user experience and reliability
- Designed and implemented a CLI responsible for common configuration
interactions with our new SAST tool.
- Redesigned our alert & reporting mechanism for our integration testing
system responsible for over 140,000 tests.
- Collaborated with other development teams to upgrade their CI systems and
integrate them with our pipeline.
- Refactored and upgraded IasC responsible for the .NET framework to allow
our development teams to leverage .NET 6
