Director , Technology M&A Due Diligence and Integration

The Mastercard Operations & Technology (O&T) Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) team supports the full lifecycle of technology related M&A activities, from target identification, strategic company/partner technology evaluations, technology due diligence, and the leadership of technology integrations.
This role will lead Due Diligence and Integration programs in support of Mastercard’s mergers and acquisition initiatives. In this role you will partner with M&A Directors to pull together the inputs and plans from multiple areas across Mastercard into an overall interdependent program plan to identify and resolve issues, manage risks, and drive execution against program timelines.
Leading M&A technology activities across the full deal lifecycle from early stage evaluations, due diligence, and integration;
Work with senior stakeholders across the organization (including Operations and Technology, Product and Engineering, Corporate Development/Strategy, and global and regional product owners) to understand deal/partnership rationale and value drivers.
Provide technology insight and leadership as deals progress from early evaluation, through diligence, and into integration.
Identify, build and lead teams of technology subject matter experts to quickly and accurately assess target company’s technology, processes, tools and organization during diligence.
Drive analysis to uncover issues, risks, and opportunities across all areas of technology including organization, process, tools, technology, architecture, hardware, software, data, hosting, SDLC, and so on.
Clearly articulate and document insights as to the suitability of a target businesses technology to achieve strategic and business goals, including potential synergies, risks and mitigation strategies.
Drive the creation of a target state architecture and technology integration strategy, along with required investments, timeline and resourcing needs, ensuring alignment with Mastercards technology principles and strategy.
Develop integration strategies into executable plans and lead the integration of acquisitions to ensure business goals are met while driving alignment to Mastercard operational and security standards.
Strong program/project management experience managing large scale software and/or hardware/infrastructure projects.
Strong technology/technology business background, program/project management experience, and proficiency in delivering complex technology programs.
Proficiency in leading the initiation and formation of large global technology projects including estimating, planning, and execution.
Experience with a variety of architecture, development frameworks and methodologies to build technology solutions.
Experienced in gathering inputs from team members to effectively and quickly evaluate a broad range of technical capabilities of target companies, including software development, operational and customer support, information security and organizational maturity, to synthesize those findings into an integration strategy with associated costs and timing for implementation.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, both technical and business, with experience communicating with a diverse audience at all levels of the organization (technology and engineering staff through C level).
Strong financial planning and management experience.
Ability to build strong relationships and partnerships between all stakeholders across Mastercard and acquired companies.
Aptitude to objectively rationalize and bring clarity to high pressured situations.
Engineering, Computer Science, Business (or equivalent) degree.
