Director, Product Sales

Overview

Provide product sales and management expertise to drive and achieve revenue targets for MasterCard Payment Gateway Services (MPGS) and relevant Value-Added Services (VAS) in the Asia Pacific region

Responsible for monitoring and providing timely sales performance reports and analysis by market and/or customer by collaborating closely with internal teams within the organization

Develop sales strategies as it relates to products that are aligned with geography strategy and help identify and close sales leads

Collate and provide timely market intelligence, requirements and feedback to product developers and product managers to support product design, development, implementation and trouble-shooting efforts

Responsible for pipeline management at the product level

Role:

Lead execution of product sales strategies for products within assigned region, markets or customers

Deliver proposals to customers on how products can improve value proposition

Close new business in tandem with Account Management and Business Development in a highly competitive consultative selling environment and generate incremental revenue from existing clients

Build a strong sales pipeline

Stay on top of all sales pipeline efforts and performance of internal teams so as to be able to provide timely sales performance analysis and reports

Provide technical support by identifying and resolving customer challenges and escalating to senior colleagues as required

Analyze and interpret customer data to ensure operations are at optimal levels

Participate in customer planning and product prioritization processes

Coordinate and manage communication between market sales and implementation teams

Bring the voice of the market back to the implementation team to ensure customer relationship needs are met

Provide subject matter expertise on a specific product or segment of products and identify product innovation opportunities

All About You:

Prior experience with payment gateway product sales is preferred but we are open to bringing in a fast learner with experience in technical (e.g. software as a service) sales

Should be numerate and experienced in using tools to extract relevant data and produce analysis and reports in powerpoint and word documents at short notice. Preferably experienced in putting together analysis and presentations for senior management. Prior management consulting experience will be a plus but not a requirement.

Extensive experience in a sales/commercial environment including interacting with customers and closing deals

Demonstrated expertise and success in achieving sales goals over multiple products

Experience with a specific product line gathered from time in Product Sales or other functions in Mastercard
