Account Manager - Emerging Merchants
The eCommerce Vertical team in US Market Development seeks to advance commerce and strengthen relationships with key digital merchants, while driving value for MasterCard and our customers through developing and articulating MasterCards value proposition for merchants in these verticals.
This person will be primarily accountable for the delivery of specific acquiring revenue targets, to be achieved through expanding acceptance, increasing preference and usage for MasterCard products. He or she will be responsible for driving sales and managing relationships with digital merchants within a wide industry segment including digital wallet operators, social players, e-retailers, and advertisers.
This role includes developing new business opportunities through cross selling the full suite of MasterCard products and solutions, including co-brands, prepaid and commercial products, Advisors consultative services, and other MasterCard product or service innovations including MasterCards Digital Enablement Service (MDES) and tokenization services with applicable customers. As part of the role, this resource will aid in the market rollout of special mobile projects leveraging our MDES platform and work cross-functionality to drive the delivery of customized payment solutions that include remote and proximity payments.

Deliver against volume and revenue growth targets with new and existing merchant customers.
Partner with merchant customers to develop new business opportunities and promote the MasterCard brand while leveraging our products or service enhancements. Oversee the delivery of integrated solutions that address the merchant needs.
Execute against MasterCards sales discipline framework. Negotiate, execute and manage all customer contract agreements and processes throughout the complete life cycle.
Build strong working relationships with executives at key merchant customers
Aid MasterCard in the ideation, development and merchant value delivery of new products and services that enhance the card-not-present space.
Design specific strategies that drive customized solutions for the business that drive profit, revenue growth, and value creation for both MasterCard and the customer.
Collaborate with appropriate MasterCard business partners in Global Products & Solutions, MasterCard Technologies, Law & Franchise Integrity, Risk Management, etc. to ensure cross-functional alignment and maximum support.
All About You
Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred)
Strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills.
A high level of interest in the emerging areas of mobile, electronic commerce and alternative payments is essential.
Payment industry expertise a must. Solid knowledge of the card and payments industry, with particular emphasis on merchant and eCommerce industry trends, regulatory changes and card product evolution.
Ability to think from the perspective of the merchant customer.
Proven ability to identify customer opportunities, develop and successfully implement, quantifiable business plans
