Our customer base includes financial institutions and merchants.\n\nWhat is the responsibility of an Infrastructure Operations Lead?\noLeading the IT Infrastructure Operations Team to deliver on service levels, minimize outages, and proactively engage team to build an operationally sustainable environment to meet continuing customer needs.\noMeet with all team members regularly, formally and informally to monitor performance and set expectations. Provide and organise training for staff where appropriate. Maintain a high level of communication with all teams to understand needs, concerns and issues.\noManage resources and develop new processes and enhance existing to ensure all teams work together with the wider organization to ensure that the business objectives are delivered upon. \noTake part and engage in operations and production outage meetings to ensure all outages are successfully managed. Be able to deliver on post incident reports and see successful outcomes from reports to ensure that learnings are documented and not repeated.\noTake part or have teams take part in project team engagements to the operations team to ensure supportability of the agreed service levels and other client or contractual obligations. \noManage all outages to a successful outcome such that we do not impact customer service levels or minimize as much as possible\noEnsure that knowledge and information is shared, and productive relationship are maintained with the wider team (e.g. Architect and operation teams etc)\noMaintain and build upon the process for engaging and interactions with project teams, data operations, production support teams to ensure successful outcome for the I.T. infrastructure teams.\noBe across service levels, operational processes locally and globally in the MasterCard organization.\noTake part and manage all I.T. operational tasks such as quarterly patching, PCI compliance requirements, infrastructure capacity management, other audit/ compliance requirements with a keen eye on operational stability.\n\n\n\n\nThe candidate who is fit for the role should be able to;\noStrong people management skills - ability to build relationships, foster strong team dynamics, and build competency level of team. \noManage a team to meet or exceed client expectations through clear communication of requirements.\noSelf-motivated and technically capable working in a fast paced environment \noWell organised, can do attitude and experience in working with PCI-DSS Compliant organisations \noAbility to lead an I.T. operations team confidently and focused on operational stability. \noAbility to schedule multiple activities to meet deadlines. \noExperience in determining and monitoring varying workloads for multiple team members in a time critical environment.\noExcellent communicator in written and verbal forms\noExperience with Agile Scrum/Kanban processes and with Infrastructure experience or background\noUnderstand client expectations and key drivers for the business and wider organization.\n\nRole\n\nLeading the IT Infrastructure Operations Team to ensure operational stability, uptime, availability and other reporting and compliance needs in line with MasterCard standards. \nWhile this is not a hands-on technical role, it is important to have a good technical understanding of infrastructure and the ability to understand technical issues and root cause analysis practises.\nLogical thinker and extensive hands-on operations experience in an enterprise environment; Windows, desktop, server operating systems, server virtualisation (VMware), LAN/WAN/SAN, back-up services, databases, web, networking & security.\n\nAll About You\n\nStrong people management skills, build relationships, foster strong team dynamics, and build competency level of team. \nGood stakeholder management skills at all levels\nAbility to estimate required effort for projects and manage budgets if required\nGood understanding of the organizations goals and objectives\nUnderstanding with network switching, routing, firewalls\nSelf-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail\nAble to prioritise and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment\nExperience with Agile Scrum/Kanban processes\nExperience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment\nExperience working with an operations and project delivery environment
