Manager, Digital and Social Marketing

As part of the growing Global Products and Solutions team, the Manager, Digital & Social Marketing will be part of an elite team focused on providing Thought Leadership, Global Strategy and best in class Digital Marketing solutions to advance the business objectives of Global, Region and County level marketing partners and focus on providing strategic consultation with those responsible for Merchants, Issuers and Acquirers while exceeding Consumer Expectations and delivering on our vision of A World Beyond Cash.

This individual will have excellent Marketing and Project Management skills, a passion for great social creative and proven expertise in the fundamentals of engagement marketing, customer experience design and content marketing, as well as a working knowledge of data-driven CRM. The ideal candidate will have worked with branded content and social media in order to build relationships with customers on a global scale. They will focus on leveraging creative, content, data and design across digital channels to create effective and efficient scalable strategies in support of MasterCard€™s global social marketing initiatives. .

Responsibilities of Manager, Digital and Social Marketing:

Partner with global cross functional teams to drive innovation and best practices related to engagement with key segments: Youth, Mass and Affluent

Be a Digital Marketing ambassador across the GP&S organization to ensure that effective Digital Marketing disciplines are fully embedded across all key initiatives

Oversee all social media platforms and channels in order to ensure a common standard of excellence while analyzing the global market for areas of growth

Work with digital leaders around the world to ensure a significant increase in engagement marketing activity across the enterprise

Act as the voice of the consumer when it comes to creating customer experiences that leverage digital & traditional channels

Experience of mobile marketing a plus

Ensure owned content is leveraged across all channels and is maximized both for consumer value and issuer/partner value

Partner with regional and global teams to plan and monitor social marketing programs

Provide specific marketing analysis and recommendations that support business decisions.

Provide consultation to local markets on interactive activities to drive brand preference and increased usage


Experience in agency and technology vendor management

Experience managing enterprise social marketing platforms and workflows

Experience sourcing, analyzing and at times, creating content to live in social channels (this includes paid, earned and owned)

Strong understanding of how to create value through content and translate that value into actionable business outcomes

Strong writing and proofreading skills in order to work with editorial partners and ensure all content is best in class

Appreciation of standards; proven methods and tools to enforce brand identity and consistency across projects.

Experience with social analytics tools and the intersect of social media, content and search

Proven success in fast -paced environment; resilient and adaptable

Ability to evaluate and change priorities daily and to perform efficiently within a fast paced team environment.

Creative thinker with desire and tenacity to test innovative solutions

Exceptional team player able to earn cross-functional/cross-geographic team confidence quickly and garner support and advocacy; Experience influencing and directing people outside of their reporting structure
