Director, Cross Border Execution

Overview

This team champions the cross-border opportunity for MasterCard via integrated planning across various countries and business units by identifying and prioritizing cross-border opportunities and challenges. The Cross-Border Execution team also manages and supports execution of cross-border action plans, champions select opportunities (or challenges) that require a global, coordinated response, develops subject matter expertise in cross-border and is a center of excellence for cross-border tactical execution.

Role

This position will play a key role in championing specific opportunities and challenges requiring a global and coordinated response. As a result, this role will have visibility across the organization and to senior management as global action plans are identified. Acting as a strong project leader, the responsibilities are, but not limited to:

Participate in the geographical (market) analysis and development of recommendations

Represent cross border in various workstreams across the organization; articulating cross border perspectives and interest

Drive the identification and facilitation of cross border best practices

In partnership with the Integrated Analytics, identify issues that impact overall cross-border spend and revenue (issuing and acquiring) on a global basis

Provide analytical assistance in the cross-border planning process

Represent cross border across GP&S, understanding the cross border challenges and opportunities across DP&L, Core Products and Services

All About You

Knowledge of the card payments and alternative payments industry is strongly encouraged

Strong problem-solving skills with an ability to identify key issues, structure analysis and synthesize large amounts of data and provide recommendations effectively. Consulting experience is strongly desirable

Cross-functional team leadership with experience managing multiple complex projects concurrently and delivering timely results/impact under tight timelines

Aptitude in facilitating dialog and information sharing, challenging and guiding thinking, and influencing senior executives

Excellent at building rapport and developing relationships with key constituents

Ability to influence and act as a change agent; promoting cross-border agenda and priorities

Substantial experience with excel (pivot tables, thinkcell, tableau) and power point

Other:

International Travel of 10% may be required
