Senior Business Assistant
Overview\nMasterCard is looking for a Senior Business Assistant to the General Counsel for North America (NAM). The General Counsel for NAM manages the NAM LFI team and is part of the NAM Management Team. She relies heavily on the support of the Senior Business Assistant. The North America Law and Franchise Integrity (LFI) team uses its analytical abilities and breadth of experience and exposure to develop and implement smart legal and business solutions that are aligned with the businesss global and regional strategies and objectives. This team acts as the first point of contact for business teams in NAM regarding all matters relating to LFI and that affect the business.\n\nRole\nSenior Business Assistant\n Perform general administrative duties to support day-to-day department operations for the NAM LFI Team based in Purchase in such areas as phone coverage; scheduling meetings; travel arrangements; expense reporting; maintaining and managing complicated calendar scheduling; generating copies; screening mail; filing; providing coverage for team members, ordering supplies and maintaining department records.\n Handle internal and external inquiries by screening calls, answering questions and redirecting to appropriate personnel.\n Serve as administrative liaison with others within and outside the company; ensure effective communications on behalf of the Team\n Independent preparation of correspondence; memoranda; reports; presentations or other assigned documentation in specified software package.\n Assist with managing and/or tracking expenses.\n May research special topics; develop and produce reports as assigned.\n Administer programs; projects or processes specific to the operating unit served; and maintain spreadsheets or databases to monitor departmental information. \n Develop and produce reports as assigned\n Engagement of law firms, tracking performance of law firms \n\nAll About You\nQualified applicants should have the following: \n Expert administrative experience in a corporate environment interfacing with C-Suite executive level management, directors, senior customers and other key internal and external stakeholders on legally sensitive and often attorney-client privileged matters.\n Demonstrated ability to manage time; highly organized with a disciplined, rigorous method for tracking of pendings; ability to execute upon multiple commitments and competing priorities; \n Ability to exercise discretion and appropriately handle highly sensitive and confidential information\n Excellent customer service skills and ability to work in a team setting\n Intense attention to detail with strong verbal and written communications skills\n Thrives in an environment where priorities are constantly changing\n Strong decision making and proactive problem solving skills\n Ability to analyze what is needed, learn how to find the information requested and respond promptly; self-motivated and demonstrates initiative\n Proficient knowledge of MS Office Suite including strong Word, PowerPoint and redlining skills; good Excel skills\n Expert in MS Office Outlook
