Technical Delivery Manager

Overview

Prepaid Management Services is the division of MasterCard that concentrates on Prepaid Solutions such as our Multi-Currency CashPassport product. Traditionally focused on the Travel sector, this business unit is driving forward Prepaid throughout the world with innovative and leading solutions that we integrate with Global brands. This role is within the Prepaid Operations & Technologies (O&T) group which is part of the wider MasterCard Operations & Technologies group. We provide high quality evolutionary and operational capabilities to support the MasterCard Prepaid Management Services business.

The main responsibility of a Technical Delivery Manager (TDM) is to manage IT delivery resources which will result in a new or modification of an IT system or application.

The TDM will:

 Manage technical projects and changes across our global market, within an AGILE environment.

 Manage day to day delivery issues, challenge them and escalate as appropriate.

 Manage deliveries within budget, conscious of the CAPEX and OPEX split.

 Liaise with all levels within the Prepaid Organisation and actively manage deliveries to completion.

 Report to the Prepaid Head of Technology Portfolio Management and work with the other TDMs and Discipline Managers.

Role

 Project delivery governance.

 Co-ordinate the allocated team(s) using the Prepaid O&T guidelines.

 Management and scheduling of approved work and defect fixes for the team(s).

 Continually track and report progress, including quality metrics.

 Ensure all decisions, risks and issues are documented and communicated appropriately.

 Provide motivation and direction to the team(s) and contributors.

 Report on team(s) spend against estimates and manage over\\underspend and corrective measures.

 Ensure effective transition\\handovers to Applications Support.

 Conduct Retrospectives and put in place any corrective measures.

 The position is based in Sydney, Australia and the candidate can expect domestic and international travel.

All About You

 Work independently with minimal supervision.

 Substantial experience in technology project management, with a strong working knowledge of project management methodologies.

 Able to organise, hold and contribute within scrums and to other formal and informal technical meetings and workshops.

 Good knowledge and experience of best practice solutions delivery and the associated technology and delivery issues.

 Conversant with various Scrum concepts and practices.

 Fully conversant with AGILE management and tools such as Jira and Greenhopper.

 Excellent written and spoken communication skills. (Can converse in standard business English).

 Strong analytical and technical skills.

 Able to work with teams to achieve a common goal.

 Able to work flexible hours due to the nature of a global business.

 Working in global organisation with teams and colleagues that span across multiple geographies and time zones.

 Finance domain experience.

 Compliance project experience.

 SAFe experience.

 Cards background and business knowledge.
