Consultant Software Engineering
Overview\nProvide production support for the Dual Message Authorization (Banknet) systems, including Value Added Services such as Fraud Risk Scoring, Spend Control, and Apple Pay.\nDevelop break fix program solutions for urgent system problems.\nPerform root cause analysis on production issues.\nUsing transaction data within the Data warehouse, identify system anomalies\nProvide Production Support related considerations for projects in the four core releases\nThis position requires strong collaboration and communication skills and a high level of motivation and drive. \nIndividuals in this role will collaboratively work with all members of the credit card authorization software development team. This is a perfect role for learning how many of the MasterCard services operate.\n\n Analysis of Service Requests from the business, regions, customers, addressing incidents, questions and resolving problems impacting global Authorization requires more sophisticated research and significant interactions with platforms that support and manage the Authorization systems. \n\n Leverage the extensive Data Warehouse repository of transaction data to diagnose issues and detect problems proactively. \n\n Provide support and education for the Value Added Services (VAS) MasterCard markets to our customer. VAS are services MasterCard performs during an authorization such as Apple Pay and Fraud detection.\n\n Represent the Banknet applications on Technical Response Team and Internal Communication Teams for managing large system problems for MasterCard.\n\n Articulate technical details in incidents, knowledge repositories, emails, chats, meetings and on the phone by translating technical issues into common language for communications to our business users.\nAll About You\n\nQualifications \n Expert in systems analysis, data communications and on-line transaction processing.\n Application and Systems Troubleshooting (analysis and problem solving) Skills\n Broad understanding of Software Engineering Concepts and Methodologies is required.\n Experience with the following: WebSphere Message Broker, Java, Unix/Linux, Shell Scripting, C, data analysis\n Possesses strong communication skills -- both verbal and written and strong relationship, collaborative skills and organizational skills. Ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical people.\n Willingness and ability to learn and take on challenging opportunities and to work as a member of matrix based diverse and geographically distributed project team. Knowledge acquired in this position is very valuable in many other areas within MasterCard.
