Vice President, Innovation Management - Travel Partnerships
Overview:\nInnovation is critical to the partnership between American Airlines and Mastercard, and we will dedicate innovation resources to not only solve business-specific pain points, but also to provide American emerging technologies to ensure the co-brand program is on the forefront of payment technology, including new payment technologies, product features, and security tools. \n\nThe VP, Innovation Management - Travel Partnerships will engage with various stakeholders within and outside of American Airlines to develop new capabilities/user experiences on the Mastercard platform. He/she will interact with executives and others at AA to brainstorm co-creation ideas and rapidly prototype working proof of concepts. He/she will then evangelize the proof of concept within and outside of MC, and work closely with product teams in to drive pilot/commercialization.\n\nRole:\nProvide thought leadership in payments and related aspects, in order to develop a strategic roadmap for innovation that supports the AA co-brand program and broader AA business.\nAs a member of the Innovation Committee, lead discussions on the latest technology trends (e.g. EMV, form factors, Mobile wallets) and assess the feasibility of incorporating such technology with American to benefit the co-brand or the airline in general.\nAssess the current co-brand program and airline customer journey for pain points, inefficiencies, etc. and collaborate with AA to deliver optimal solutions for payments, focusing on user experiences designed to encourage frequent repeat usage\nRapidly convert ideas into working prototypes, mashing together solutions/capabilities that exist within Mastercard or externally. \nEnsure feasibility of prototypes by mapping components to actual existing capabilities/assets.\nEnsure quality deployment and implementations. Assume overall end-to-end management responsibilities for quality assurance\nTrack and aggregate key metrics to assess results of launches and ongoing campaigns\n\nAll About You:\nDemonstrated experience in hands-on development of solutions, UI and prototypes, and a close knowledge of developments in technology (mobile, cloud, APIs, etc.) and commerce (omni-channel, digital payments, etc.). \nSolid understanding of digital payment business and ecosystems, competitive offerings and industry trends\nStrong project management skills and ability to coordinate programs with multiple internal and external partners.\nExperience and knowledge of Agile (Scrum) project methodology and practices\nCustomer Experience and Digital Strategy ideation, persona development & journey mapping, content and message strategy, mobile UX and marketing.\nStrong operational/technical background within the payments and financial services industries.\nExperience leading client facing engagements with executive management to set strategy and execute plans.\n\n*LI-CH1
