Senior Vice President, Government Sales

The Public Private Partnership(PPP) group€™s mandate is to establish meaningful relationships with governments, development organizations, and NGOs to innovate disruptive, sustainable businesses for MasterCard selling services and solutions to Governments and pre-commercial segments and markets. By leveraging blended financial vehicles, we create mutually beneficial partnerships for public and private sectors that optimize long term outcomes for MasterCard and the public sector.

MasterCard Worldwide PPP Division works with the Regions to maximize government sales and engagement and leads commercial partnerships with multilateral development organizations, international financial institutions, corporate foundations and non-governmental organizations (NGOs), to promote financial inclusion, government transparency and economic formalization across the globe.

Working closely with MasterCard product and regional teams, the team innovates, brings to market, and sells sustainable solutions that serve the needs of government and development stakeholders and furthers MasterCard€™s strategy to accelerate market transitions from cash to electronic payments

MasterCard seeks to innovate and develop blended finance instruments to enable sustainable investment in international development with measurable impact

Manage global team of sales and strategy leads. Own global P/L for government sales.

Develops regional strategies for each region for sales prioritization. Develop a business strategy and execution plan for services to PPP stakeholders.

Work with government vertical specialists and solutions groups to articulate demand for new solutions

Coordinate between region sales and regional public policy in execution of these strategies, sharing best practices successes and lessons learned from around the world

Identify and analyze the need for new pricing/interchange strategies to support these government programs

Establish MC as thought leader in global fora on key issues to development, humanitarian and government communities

Foster a close working relationship with Public Policy and contribute to strong internal communication between Policy and sales teams

All About You

Extensive payments industry experience with a proven track record of building customer relationships

Strong knowledge of the government sector combined with exemplary sales and marketing skills

Ability to work in an ambiguous environment providing solutions that drive positive results for MasterCard and the government entity

Extensive problem-solving, organizational and planning skills

Superior oral and written communications skills

Excellent relationship management skills, with the ability to influence and work collaboratively cross-functionally

Keen sense of urgency and results-driven orientation

Solid understanding of MasterCard€™s operational and organizational structure

Bachelor€™s degree required; post-graduate business degree a plus
