Job Title

Director, Masterpass Product Management


This role will focus on supporting the products, technology and solutions that enable strategic partners to participate in Masterpass. A strong emphasis on will be placed on management of products related to Masterpass API and checkout services for wallets. The candidate will leverage his/her understanding of the latest digital payments technology to enhance the network of wallets business model, enabling wallet partners to add value to their consumers through MasterPass in differentiated ways across the web, in-app, and in-store channels.


Management of the Masterpass Digital Wallet Solutions, focusing on strategic non-Financial Institution partners

Responsible for internal product development and external commercial development surrounding the products, particularly related to eCommerce payments, web browser and mobile application-based technologies. Determine new needs and innovations that MasterCard may want to investigate.

Conduct opportunity assessments on new ideas and concepts. This will involve finding new ways to leverage MasterPass Digital Wallet Solutions and the MasterCard network.

Work with regional leads to educate and influence customers €“ Develop and (as required) and deliver an external education program to educate and influence the value chain about Masterpass Digital Wallet Solutions.

Develop and implement strategies to scale the number of MasterPass partners, wallets, consumers, and transactions across global MasterPass markets.

All About You

Bachelor€™s degree required, having an MBA is a plus

In-depth experience with eCommerce and/or mCommerce payments.

In-depth understanding of web services and backend technical processes.

An operational understanding of payments and MasterCard processes and technologies.

Understanding of MasterCard€™s sales process to traditional customers (banks) as well as merchant customers (merchants and technology partners).

Ability to mix technical knowledge with practical real world experience to bridge between business and technology.

Excellent oral and written communication, negotiation, project management and matrix-management skills are critical.

Ability to influence internal and external business partners

A proven track record providing product expertise and or training to both internal and external customers

Business Acumen with the ability to provide solutions that drive positive results to the customer and MasterCard

Attention to detail

Self-motivated with a proven track record of delivering success while operating within a team environment
