Product Communications - Job Description Summary

Overview

Mastercard€™s digital payments strategy is accelerating the transition from card payments to digital payments, using mobile phones and other devices to support issuers, merchants, and wallet providers. As part of that strategy, Masterpass - Mastercard€™s global digital payment solution allows consumers to check out with a digital wallet online, in-store with a tap, or from their favorite merchant app. Consumers are expanding their range of digital activity across channels/devices every day, and you can be a key contributor in driving this evolution.

The Digital Payments Strategy and Product Management team leads this effort by:

Setting the Masterpass and Mastercard Digital Enablement Service product strategy and creating compelling product offerings to meet the needs of the various customer segments

Delivering increased security and convenience to consumers by managing the tokenization of Mastercard accounts through the application of rules, standards and services for issuers seeking to use third party token service providers

Fostering consistency within the industry by overseeing the strategy for the adoption of token-related standards developed through EMVCo

Role

Drive the communication strategy for new offerings to our Digital Product suite worldwide, by defining the messaging, packaging and roll out of sales and training collateral for use with our customers:

Partner with product managers, regions and account leaders to define the communication materials and media necessary to inform/sell new offerings to customers

Create and ensure consistent messaging and nomenclature for product offerings throughout the product lifecycle including our technical communication materials and sales collateral

Produce communication and customer training materials that meet the needs of our regional account facing teams in the time frames required

All About You

Bachelor's Degree Required, MBA preferred

Proven track record in delivering effective and timely customer communication collateral in support of B2B products

Ability to grasp the complexities of a global, B2B2C product offering and the skill to inform relevant and actionable communication strategies

Experience in working with various communication channels and collaborating with marketing agencies

Knowledge and experience within payments ecosystem including digital payments

Strong people skills and influencing skills needed to drive change globally

Open and creative; comfortable with uncertainty in a changing/fast paced environment

Strong oral and written communication, project management, strategy, and business acumen

Self-motivated with strong initiative to set direction and drive efforts to successful completion.
