Senior Network Engineer
The role will report into the Director Customer Engineering, Regional Technology Support (RTS) Europe, and supports the High Growth Region in Europe composed of the following countries: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russian Federation, Tajikistan, Turkey, Turkmenistan, Ukraine and Uzbekistan.
The RTS Customer Engineering team is responsible for the strategic planning, design and implementation of Mastercards networks in support of our global markets. This includes the Mastercard Global Customer Network and the Mastercard Corporate Network.
The function requires a strong and experienced Technical Project Manager/Network Engineer to be responsible for:
ï¼Design and deliver network and communications solutions that satisfy customer, product, service and backbone requirements, according to global standards.
ï¼Managing vendor and customer communications and escalations
ï¼Support operational issues locally, if needed
Assume leadership and full accountability for ongoing projects as assigned; including responsibility for planning, time and cost control, resource utilization and implementation in support of:
ï¼New customer connectivity
ï¼Network upgrade projects
Special projects (MasterCard Network infrastructure upgrade and enhancements).
Provide 2nd and 3rd level support for interruptions to IT services, communicating with internal and external parties, investigating issues, and restoring service.
Participate in special network services projects involving improvements to engineering activities, vendor support, customer support, problem resolution, and technical implementation.
Manage external and internal customers escalations and resolve network communications and operation issues.
Develop detailed requirements for upgrading existing corporate and customer networks, as well as re-architecting network segments in order to facilitate new requirements, technologies and growth.
Ensure all engineering systems and tools are properly documented and managed.
Enhance value for customers through better design and operation of services. This includes departmental process or service improvements (implementing process improvements, coordinating improvements, lessons learned, process mapping).
Communicate effectively, ability to listen, share knowledge, teach and train people combined with outstanding communication and presentation skills.
All About You
Knowledge / Experience
ï¼Knowledge of Project Management methodology, vendor management, IT best practices and PCI Standards
ï¼Good knowledge of Cisco products & Network Technologies, Security and Wireless
ï¼Advanced Microsoft Office suite experience
ï¼Understanding of Network Technologies:
ï§Cisco routers and switches, including SNMP and Routing protocols
ï§TCP/IP, MPLS and Ethernet protocols
ï§WAN access technologies

ï¼Good leadership, interpersonal, relationship-building and negotiation skills required, with a solid track record for developing internal and external relationships including superior customer focus
ï¼Strong analytical/problem solving and planning skills
ï¼Ability to work effectively under pressure and in stressful situations
ï¼Comfortable around higher management; can influence without creating undue conflict or resistance
ï¼Fluency in English and Russian is required
Normal working hours with potentially off hours work for implementations.
