Senior Pre-Sales Solution Consultant

MasterCard Payment Gateway is a leading supplier of on-line and cardholder present payment gateway and fraud and risk screening services. We are an innovative and ambitious market leader intent on growing our global presence.

We're hiring a Solution Consultant who can walk the walk technically and talk the talk with business and technical customers alike. With unparalleled exposure to the sales team and customers, the Solution Consultant position is best suited for a person with technical expertise and an interest in business.

The successful candidate will not only be a strategic, innovative thinker, but someone who has proven they can execute year after year. It is essential that the candidate has a strong affinity for client service and consulting.

The role will suit candidates with strong technical knowledge and experience of working in a new business sales environment with a proven ability to understand customers€™ business requirements and propose technical solutions that exactly meet those needs


Successfully partner with the sales and account teams in support of the whole sales process.

Quickly become the authority on clients, products and services.

Responsible for surmounting technical challenges integrating MasterCard solutions into unique customer configurations

Support the sales team in developing new business sales plans by identifying the fit of product to market sectors, accounts etc.

Validate propositions with internal teams and clients.

Build strategic working relationships at both an executive and below level

Multi-task and execute effectively under pressure for sustained periods

Strong work ethic and excellent initiative and leadership skills

training, demonstrations, and one-on-one customer sessions are an integral part of this job and the requires extensive collaboration with sales, product managers, and engineers

All About You

Extensive experience of senior level management within the financial field, ideally working for a technology vendor or consulting firm

Extensive experience within Payments

Experience architecting and delivering high-availability, scalable, secure and performant enterprise-level payment gateway solutions with either an acquirer or payment gateway

Payment card industry knowledge including understanding on PCI-DSS, PA-DSS and P2PE

Understanding of software development, technology and consulting practices

Strong communication, critical thinking and negotiation skills

Strong work ethic and excellent initiative and leadership skills

A people person - training, demonstrations, and one-on-one customer sessions are an integral part of this job

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with customers and colleagues at all levels of the organisation

Strong presentation skills

Commercially astute
