Business Development / Account Manager
Overview\nResponsibilities:\nDevelops the sales pipeline, coordinating with product development and account management teams, executes the Go-To-Market strategy in DACH countries \nPlays a lead role in conversations with key decision makers for new or emerging product opportunities \nPlays a key role in developing financial modelling and business cases for development opportunities\nDevelops strong relationships within industry segment to build strong value propositions and relationships\nProspects, contacts, and contracts new customers and business partners to build new gateway business with merchants, acquirers\nExecutes and manages the customer contract agreement process\nEnhances ongoing business development relationships \nProvides input for long-term growth strategies to optimize mutual profitability across business lines\n\n\nThe role will require a direct interaction with acquirers and merchants in coordination with MasterCard sales organization, with product expertise provided for solution engineering for the gateway service, the fraud screening service and the value added services\nTo work on the Pre-sell technical preparation of the customer solution\nTo support direct engagement and interactions with partners in the infrastructure space of ecommerce (Shopping cart providers, web designers, PSPs)\nThe role will support the lead for DACH in achieving the team goals including: responsibility for the revenues for the area within MasterCard Payment Gateway Services organization: budget, forecast and results\nRole\nPackage and localize product the analysis of all systems and services and the formation of a value proposition based on the leverage of all assets, in line with customer and market requirements\nDefine local pricing of new solutions and customer specific pricing proposals work with the appropriate groups to review and analyse current pricing for MasterCard Payment Gateway Services, and the determination of the price-point for new features as they are released on the platform. This includes internal sign-off from regional and MasterCard Payment Gateway Services central finance teams\nCountry Strategy Work with country and account leads to execute an action plan against that strategy\nCommercial Readiness Work with IMK and Customer Delivery groups to ensure that all products, existing and forthcoming, are fully ready for commercial launch. This includes documentation, contractual, implementation and support services\nCompetitive Intelligence The analysis of product, process, pricing and business structures to ensure that MasterCards Payment Gateway Services products are competitive (or have an approved plan to achieve competitiveness).\n\n\nAll About You\n\nExperience / Knowledge Required\nNew business sales experience with demonstrable success at managing accounts through a structured prospecting process\nExperience executing and managing business development strategies for large or complex countries/regions/industry verticals \nDemonstrated success introducing existing and new/emerging solutions into various MasterCard countries/regions/industry verticals\nRelevant experience in the acquiring space and the gateway/ PSP business / E-Com business\nRelevant commercial/sales experience in hi-tech environment (payments industry experience a definite advantage)\nExperience working in a company with commitment to a metric-driven, quantitative sales process with demonstrable results \nUnderstanding of the main drivers affecting the industry and the ability to articulate these in detail\nLocation: preferably Frankfurt / Germany\n\nTechnical Skills\nAdvanced knowledge of e-/m-commerce products and their value in B2B2C environments\nAbility to translate technical product specification into sales messages for prospects\nExcellent interpersonal and communication skills (including presentation skills), able to work in synergy with other sales colleagues in a matrix environment \nStrong customer orientation and building relationships (internally and externally)\nAbility to work under pressure and to tight deadlines \nEnthusiastic, conscientious, and highly motivated\nAnalytical skills (P&L, financial forecasting, competitive analysis)\nUniversity degree or equivalent\n\n*LI-KR1
